Four Levels of Referee Abuse

Not all abusive behaviour looks the same. The picture on the left breaks down referee abuse into four distinct levels — from subtle disrespect to outright discrimination.

We have created one Code of Conduct course for each of these levels. Each course includes a slide deck based on the official US Soccer Abuse Policy 531.9, a video overview, and a final exam. Work through them in order to build a complete understanding of what referee abuse is, why it happens, and how to stop it.
